This breed retained all the characteristics of the Schnauzer, but decreased in size. This dog was created in Germany for hunting rats, its name comes from the German “schnauze” – muzzle. Characteristic

The Miniature Schnauzer does not get along well with other dogs, but with proper training and socialization, it will behave decently. This breed is not recommended for families with small children, but this little dog will easily find a common language with adolescents. Since this dog loves to fight other dogs and hunt small pets and cats, it is better for her to be the only pet in the house. However, if a miniature schnauzer grew up with another dog, they will be friends.
Wool and care
The Miniature Schnauzer has a double coat: a hard and coarse top layer and a dense undercoat. This breed has distinctive features: the hair on the muzzle forms a beard, and the hair on the chest, belly and legs is longer than on the rest of the body. He must periodically undergo a professional trimming procedure. A miniature schnauzer should be cut twice a year by a professional dog hairdresser to get rid of dead hair. However, with proper brushing, this procedure may not be necessary. This dog should be brushed to prevent tangling and mats. This breed sheds very moderately and is therefore suitable for families with allergies.

The Miniature Schnauzer has a good upbringing by nature, but it still needs training. This breed requires constant attention from the owners, if you forget about the dwarf schnauzer, it can become a real tyrant. Stubborn miniature schnauzers should be trained early in life. The teaching should be rigorous but fair, and the exercises varied and fun. Dogs of this breed love to learn and quickly learn to relieve themselves outdoors if trained properly.

The Miniature Schnauzer is a very lively and energetic dog; however, it needs very little physical activity. This breed is very fond of long walks and regular games; however, a small fenced yard is enough for a miniature schnauzer. This is a great companion for your morning jogging in the park.
