This breed is distinguished by its too aggressive behavior towards strangers, but the Perro de Presa Canario obeys its owners unquestioningly.

The Perro de Presa Canario needs a strong and strong-willed owner, so this breed is not recommended for novice dog breeders. This dog can become extremely dangerous if it falls into the wrong hands. However, a competent and experienced owner will be able to make a faithful and devoted friend out of the Canary Mastiff. This breed is an excellent watchdog, it very aggressively protects its family and territory, immediately attacking everything it sees as a threat. The Perro de Presa Canario is not suitable for families with other pets or children.

The Perro de Presa Canario is not suitable for living in a city apartment, he needs a country house with a plot or a large fenced yard. This breed needs daily exercise. When appearing in public places, the Canary Mastiff should be muzzled and on a strict leash.
