The Sealyham Terrier has a double coat: a coarse, tough waterproof top coat and a soft and dense undercoat. The color of this terrier can only be white; sometimes, however, it has markings on the head and ears of lemon color, tan or badger color. Sealyham Terriers almost never shed. This breed needs professional trimming. This terrier should be brushed at least twice a week to prevent mats from forming. It is necessary to bathe this little terrier only in case of emergency, using a mild shampoo, it is even better to do dry cleaning. This dog tolerates cold weather well, but does not like heat. This breed has few health problems; however, the Sealyham Terrier is allergic to fleas and can become deaf in old age, and this dog also has rather sensitive skin.
